They have apps for most common media sources, but even the ones they don't have you can get through the browser. If you're particularly interested in web content, the Boxee Box is the only choice short of a full-on HTPC. The Tegra 2 is beefy enough that the Boxee Box is only an Ubuntu-for-ARM installation away from being a full-on nettop. Boxee was great for the low-end media downloader who had some large folder with tons of straight off the net with names like '.HD.avi' which Kodi didnt know what to do with. Since the browser reports itself as a regular desktop browser (which it technically is), it isn't really possible for these video services to discriminate against it. The inexactness is exactly why that Boxee vision of library mangement died with Boxee, hoarders like me dont need hand holding on the library management part.

This allows the Boxee Box to run a full featured Mozilla browser, which is how they get around Hulu and Youtube's "no set top box" limitation.
The A9 is, clock for clock, just about on par with an Atom processor. Even if it's clocked as low as the SMP8643 (it's almost certainly higher), it should be about two orders of magnitude faster. Altough it would technically probably be possible to run sabnzbd on the boxee box, it seems it is till now pretty closed and doesnt allow to run 3th party application/hacks.
